About

I am a real southerner who was born before everything was air-conditioned. Now you know where and how old I am! I grew up in Charlotte and was blessed to have gone to a high school that appreciated the arts. That is where I learned photography the “old school” way. We rolled our own film, processed in our dark room and printed on enlargers.

I worked in an unrelated industry, got married to my fantastically supportive husband Steve and we raised three really incredible kids who are all grown ups now. God truly blessed us and it is HIS provision that has provided me with my next steps.

While we were living in Atlanta GA, i decided to go back to school. I have a degree in education from Appalachian State (GO MOUNTAINEERS!) but I really have always been passionate about photography. I went to the University of North Georgia and earned my Professional Photography Certification in 2013. So much has drastically changed with the advent of digital photography, but knowing how to do “old school” photography gave me a distinct advantage.

We are now living in Lake Wylie and it is our last move. I am so excited to be home. I have been given the unique gift of relaying what God wants everyone to see in HIS world: beauty. Our world has beauty and kindness in it. We were given the finest example of beauty and kindness in God’s son Jesus. My world view follows his words Love God and Love People. (Matt. 22:38-40) This worldview is a gift and it is available to anyone who will receive HIM. My work will reflect this world view; to God be the Glory.
